StoreLens AI is a Shopify app that helps merchants audit product catalog content for AI readiness, identify product data gaps, and review suggested fixes before applying changes.

This Privacy Policy explains what data StoreLens AI accesses, how we use it, what we do not access, and how merchants can request data deletion.

Data we access

When you install and use StoreLens AI, the app may access the following Shopify store data:

- Shop domain and app installation metadata
- Product titles, descriptions, tags, product types, vendors, variants, collections, and SEO fields
- Product images and image alt text
- Store content, pages, and legal policies, when available and only for audit purposes
- Scan results, AI readiness scores, issue reports, suggested fixes, and applied fix history
- App usage metadata, such as scans run, features used, and plan limits

StoreLens AI only accesses data needed to provide product catalog audits, readiness scoring, content suggestions, and review-before-apply workflows.

Data we do not access

StoreLens AI does not require or intentionally access:

- Customer personal information
- Customer email addresses
- Customer addresses
- Order history
- Payment data
- Credit card data
- Checkout data
- Protected customer data

The app is designed to work with product catalog and store content data, not customer or order data.

How we use data

We use the data we access to:

- Run AI Store Readiness scans
- Analyze product titles, descriptions, tags, variants, images, alt text, and SEO fields
- Identify missing product signals, buyer-intent gaps, weak descriptions, and image alt text issues
- Generate AI readiness scores and weekly reports
- Generate suggested product content improvements
- Show evidence, explanations, and suggested safe fixes
- Allow merchants to review, copy, ignore, or apply suggested fixes
- Apply product copy changes only when the merchant explicitly approves them
- Manage app access, app limits, billing status, support, and technical troubleshooting

StoreLens AI does not sell merchant data.

AI processing and third-party services

StoreLens AI may use third-party AI service providers, including OpenAI, to analyze product catalog text and generate suggestions.

When AI features are used, StoreLens AI may send relevant product content, such as product titles, descriptions, tags, image alt text, and related product metadata, to the AI provider for analysis.

StoreLens AI does not send customer personal information, order data, payment data, or protected customer data to AI providers because this information is not required for the app's core functionality.

StoreLens AI also uses Shopify for authentication, app installation, billing, and platform services.

Applying changes to Shopify

StoreLens AI does not silently overwrite product content.

Suggested fixes are reviewable. Merchants can choose to copy, ignore, or apply a suggestion. Product content is updated only after the merchant explicitly approves the change.

If a merchant applies a fix, StoreLens AI may store the original value and the new value to support review history and rollback-related functionality.

Data retention

StoreLens AI stores audit results, product snapshots, suggested fixes, and applied fix history while the app is installed.

When a merchant uninstalls StoreLens AI, we delete or anonymize shop data in accordance with Shopify's mandatory app uninstall and data redaction webhooks, including shop/redact requests where applicable.

Data sharing

We do not sell merchant data.

We may share limited data only with service providers needed to operate the app, such as:

- Shopify, for authentication, installation, billing, and platform services
- Hosting and database providers
- AI service providers, such as OpenAI, when AI features are used
- Error monitoring, analytics, and support tools used to maintain and improve the app

These services are used only to operate, secure, support, and improve StoreLens AI.

Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect merchant data, including restricted access, secure authentication, encrypted credentials where applicable, and secure hosting practices.

No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, but we work to protect merchant data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

Merchant rights and data requests

Merchants may request access, correction, or deletion of their StoreLens AI data by contacting:

We may need to verify the requesting shop before processing certain requests.

Limitations and no ranking guarantee

StoreLens AI helps merchants audit product content, identify AI-readiness gaps, and review suggested improvements.

StoreLens AI does not guarantee ranking, traffic, sales, AI search visibility, or placement in any AI platform.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
